Colección Daros Latinamerica
Fundación Proa, Buenos Aires, Argentina

The exhibition showcased some of the new artistic practices that span the entire continent.

The distinctly contemporary vision of the Daros Latinamerica Collection departs from models of regional and folk art to offer a panorama of reflective and critical artistic production that is an easy match for the finest contemporary art. The works that make up the collection embody this curatorial approach, allowing each artist to offer a partial yet significant vision of the region’s most interesting art.

Geopolitical tensions, pubic and domestic violence, resistance and utopia, and the body as the locus of social conflict are among the topics addressed by these works, which were carefully selected to transform the exhibition space into an arena for debate and reflection.
