La Mirada. Looking at Photography in Latin America Today / Zeitgenössische Fotokunst aus Lateinamerika. Part 1
Daros Museum, Zürich, Switzerland

La Mirada showed works by nine artists from different Latin American countries. Comprising pieces from the last 30 years, the exhibition gathered some of the continent’s most remarkable statements on art and photography.

La Mirada described not only the gaze of the camera towards a specific subject but also the artistic attitude and mental approach of the nine artists. Their diverse views on photography became apparent to the interested observer. Ultimately, La Mirada also revealed our European perspective on Latin American art.
